SA vs IND 4th T20I Predicted XIs: Will Dayal or Vijaykumar get a look in?
The South Africa vs India T20I series reaches its final stop at the Wanderers stadium in Johannesburg on November 15, Friday. The Indian team was able to bounce back in the third T20I after their loss in Gqberha during the match in Centurion, thanks to Tilak Varma’s hundred.
Tilak punished the Proteas bowlers on his way to scoring 107 off 56 balls as India posted a target of 220 runs for the hosts to chase. Despite some late fireworks from Marco Jansen, Suryakumar Yadav and his men held on to secure the win and take a 2-1 lead, ensuring they will not lose the series now. For South Africa and Aiden Markram, it will be all about getting back to winning ways and being more disciplined in all departments.
The team combinations would be important heading into the series finale on Friday.
South Africa vs India 4th T20I: Predicted XIs
For India, the big question will be if they will give Yash Dayal or Vysakh Vijaykumar a chance in the final match. Both men had impressed for RCB in the IPL 2024 season, with Dayal even being retained by the franchise ahead of the mega auction.
Arshdeep Singh has been leading the pace throughout the series and went past Bhuvneshwar Kumar to be the leading wicket-taker among Indian seamers in T20Is. It seems unlikely the team management would give Arshdeep a rest at the moment so it’s unlikely we could see any changes from the third match.
India are expected to stick with the same opening pair of Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson, despite the Kerala batter failing in the last 2 games. Tilak Varma is the new No.3 for the side, with Suryakumar Yadav and the rest to follow.
Ramandeep Singh, who made his debut in the last game, impressed with a quickfire cameo and should retain his spot as well. South Africa could be tempted to going in with the same team that got them close in the third T20I and will hope to level the series with a win.
India (Predicted XI): Sanju Samson(w), Abhishek Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav(c), Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Rinku Singh, Axar Patel, Ramandeep Singh, Arshdeep Singh, Ravi Bishnoi, Varun Chakaravarthy
South Africa (Predicted XI): Ryan Rickelton, Reeza Hendricks, Aiden Markram(c), Tristan Stubbs, Heinrich Klaasen(w), David Miller, Marco Jansen, Andile Simelane, Gerald Coetzee, Keshav Maharaj, Lutho Sipamla.
