Rohit Sharma lists himself at No.5 vs Australia PM XI: Will KL Rahul open in Pink Ball Test at Adelaide?

India captain Rohit Sharma listed himself at No.5 in the pink ball warm-up game vs Australian Prime Minister’s XI. Rohit who joined the team midway through the Perth Test match, got some crucial match practice on Sunday as India took on the Australian side in Canberra.
This could be an indication of the fact that the Indian captain might drop himself down to the middle order for the pink ball Test match in Adelaide, set to be played from 6 December. The move might have been a direct result of KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal’s sensational performances in the second innings of the opening Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
In the Perth Test, the opening duo of KL Rahul and Jaiswal slammed a partnership of 200+ runs, the first ever by India openers in the Australian soil. The duo formed the backbone of India’s 295-run victory in the first match of the series.
