AUS vs IND Brisbane Weather report: Will rain hinder India’s comeback?

India and Australia are all set to lock horns in the third Test of the five-match series at the Gabba, Brisbane from Saturday, December 14. Australia made a roaring comeback in the series by winning the second Test by ten wickets in Adelaide after India hammered them by 295 runs in the series opener in Perth.
Hence, the series is nicely set for the third game where one of the two teams will be seen taking an advantage and getting into a dominating position in the rubber. However, there are dark clouds hovering over the upcoming fixture as it’s likely to be affected by rain.

According to weather.com, there are heavy chances of rain for the third Test which could well spoil India’s chances of making a comeback in the series. There are 25% precipitation chances on Day 1 of the Test which go up to 40% in the afternoon. The Day 2 also has 25% rain chances which are expected to remain the same on Day 3 as well.
Hence, fans can expect a frustrating five-day play in the third Test as the on-field action is likely to get regular interruptions. The rain could well also spoil the rhythm of the players in the middle which is bound to affect the result of the match as well. Both players and fans will hope that the weather Gods support them and the play has the minimum interruptions possible across five days in Brisbane.
Meanwhile, Brisbane pitch curator David Sandurski spoke to the media on Wednesday, December 11, three days ahead of the start of the Test match and said that the Gabba wicket does not have the same properties at the start and at the end of the season. Sandurski said that there were ‘legitimate differences’ between the fresher and tired wickets at the venue. He also admitted that they were not doing anything extra to make the wicket more spicy for the fast bowlers.
