The 30-year-old Bumrah took the wickets of Usman Khawaja, Nathan McSweeney, Steve Smith, Alex Carey and Pat Cummins.
After his stupendous spell, Bumrah met Lee and imitated the latter’s iconic Chainsaw celebration. Bumrah also tried to imitate Lee’s run-up and bowling action.
Earlier, Brett Lee credited his father for the famous celebration that has left fans awestruck over the years. During the Australian father’s day back in 2021 on September 5, Lee dropped a special message for
“Happy Fathers Dad to the world’s greatest Dad. You have taught me many things over the years but none more significant than my post wicket celebration. #chainsaw”
In 76 Tests, 221 ODIs and 25 T20Is for Australia, Lee picked up 310, 380 and 28 wickets respectively with 31 four-wicket hauls and 19 five-wicket hauls to show for his efforts.
Lee was also effective as a batter, scoring eight half-centuries in his career, including a top score of 64 against South Africa back in March 2006 in Johannesburg. He also had plenty of scores in the 30s and 40s, giving an account of his decent batting skills.
