And it was Samson, who stole the limelight with a knock of 107 off 50 balls, laced with seven fours and 10 sixes. Until he was there in the middle, India hardly lost control of their innings. After Abhishek Sharma departed early, Samson put on 66 runs with skipper Suryakumar Yadav.

7 – Sanju Samson became the joint seventh-fastest Indian to the landmark of 7000 runs in T20Is along with Robin Uthappa. He reached the milestone in his 269th innings.
