Premier League leaders Liverpool battled to a 2-2 draw against Fulham at Anfield, overcoming a two-goal deficit and the early dismissal of Andy Robertson. Meanwhile, Arsenal were left frustrated after a goalless draw at home to Everton, as the title race tightened ahead of Chelsea’s match against Brentford on Sunday.
Liverpool’s Diogo Jota rescued a point in the 86th minute, preventing what could have been only their second league defeat of the season. Despite the setback, Liverpool remain five clear of second-placed Chelsea with 36 points from 15 games. Arsenal, still six points adrift of the top, have played one game more than the two sides above them.
Elsewhere, Nottingham Forest moved into fourth place after a dramatic 2-1 comeback win over Aston Villa, while Newcastle United rediscovered their form with a commanding 4-0 victory over Leicester City. At the bottom, Wolverhampton Wanderers’ woes deepened after a 2-1 home loss to Ipswich Town, who climbed closer to safety.

Liverpool endured a nightmare start when Andreas Pereira put Fulham ahead in the 11th minute with a volley, compounded by Robertson’s 17th-minute red card for denying Harry Wilson a scoring opportunity.
Cody Gakpo’s diving header from Mohamed Salah’s cross levelled the score shortly after halftime, but Rodrigo Muniz stunned the Anfield crowd with a 76th-minute strike to restore Fulham’s lead. Jota, returning from injury, came off the bench and calmly slotted home an equaliser to salvage a vital point.
Arsenal Held by Resilient Everton
Arsenal’s attacking struggles cost them two points at the Emirates as Everton produced a defensive masterclass to secure a 0-0 draw. Despite dominating possession, Arsenal failed to convert their chances, with Jordan Pickford making crucial saves to deny Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, and Gabriel Martinelli.
The result marks the first time Arsenal have failed to score at home since April, leaving them third in the table and potentially further adrift from the top two depending on Sunday’s results. Everton, now in 15th place with 15 points, celebrated a gritty display that earned them a valuable draw.
Nottingham Forest showed remarkable resilience to defeat Aston Villa 2-1 at the City Ground. After Jhon Duran’s header put Villa ahead, Forest had a late equaliser from Chris Wood disallowed for offside following a VAR check. However, Nikola Milenkovic and Anthony Elanga struck in the final minutes to turn the game around and secure Forest’s sixth win in nine games.
Newcastle United returned to winning ways with a 4-0 demolition of Leicester City. Jacob Murphy scored twice as Newcastle ended their four-game winless streak, lifting them to 11th place with 23 points, just four points behind fourth-placed Manchester City.
Wolverhampton Wanderers’ poor run extended to four consecutive losses after a 2-1 defeat to Ipswich Town at Molineux. Matt Doherty’s own goal gifted Ipswich an early lead, but Matheus Cunha equalised for Wolves in the second half with a composed finish.
Ipswich, however, claimed all three points in stoppage time as substitute Jack Taylor netted a dramatic winner. The result lifts Ipswich to 18th, just one point from safety, while Wolves remain in 19th, deep in the relegation zone.
