Hardik Pandya reunites with son Agastya, shares photo on Instagram

Star India all-rounder Hardik Pandya reunited with his son Agastya for the first time after his divorce with ex-wife, actress and model Natasa Stankovic. Hardik shared a picture on his Instagram featuring Agastya and his brother Krunal Pandya’s son alongside their pet dogs. The picture was from Hardik’s home gym, and he captioned the post, “Happiness”. This was the first time that the father-son duo were spotted together after the split of Hardik and Agastya. After their divorce, Natasa flew back to Serbia alongside her son. Natasa, alongside her son Agastya, recently returned to Mumbai, months after their separation.

Hardik Pandya had announced his separation with wife Natasa Stankovic after a relationship of four years. Hardik announced his decision on Thursday, 18 July after months of speculation. Pandya announced his decision via his Instagram channel in a joint statement with his former partner.

Speculations were rife since the Indian’s Premier League’s 2024 season itself where a Reddit post had pointed out that Natasa had deleted their individual photos from her Instagram channel. At that time, Natasa had removed Hardik’s name from her profile as well.

In the statement, the former couple revealed that they mutually parted ways and they would co-parent their son Agastya.

“After 4 years of being together, Natasa and I have decided to mutually part ways. We tried our best together and gave it our all, and we believe this is in the best interest for the both of us. This was a tough decision for us to make, given the joy, mutual respect and companionship we enjoyed together and as we grew a family,” Hardik said via his Instagram.

“We are blessed with Agastya, who will continue to be at the centre of both our lives and we will co-parent to ensure that we give him everything that we can for his happiness,” he added.
“We sincerely request your support and understanding to give us the privacy during this difficult and sensitive time,” Hardik concluded his statement.

Hardik Pandya is likely to be available for red-ball cricket for Baroda in the 2024-25 domestic season. A top source in the Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) said that there is a chance for Pandya to return to first-class cricket, keeping in mind the Test series against New Zealand and the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on Australian soil later this year.

Recently, Pandya was seen practising with the red ball. The 30-year-old is also planning to play white-ball cricket for Baroda. Pandya hasn’t played first-class cricket since representing Baroda in the Ranji Trophy clash against Mumbai way back in 2018.
